hi,

Still possibly the things listed above, but when driving is it constantly dull, does it go on and off, on at low revs etc or any other characteristics?

If its changing it may be worth getting it checked for oil pressure.

E D I T: although just thought, don't the oil lights on these flash?!

Chris

I am having the exact same issue with a '86 petrol DF - full brightness with ignition on (engine not running), then dimly on while the engine in running. Its an early system van.
Anyone have any advice on diagnosis - can we measure resistance across the pressure sender or at the dash?

Dimly on is usually an indicator of earthing problems I've found. Something else is using it as a route to earth.

Yeah - that's kind of what I suspected/feared ........ time to break out the multimeter and have a poke around I think .... (is it wrong that a dodgy earth seems like more of a pain in the neck than low oil pressure?!?)

The T25s have become self-aware. They are communicating. :? :?

Had this issue with my oil light suspected low pressure or faulty wiring (with help:)) eliminated wiring issue and I changed the oil pressure switch and it solved the problem. the switch had given up the ghost ( it was the original so 29 years old)
All good now and a relatively simple job:)

Ha! My Nokia Phone charger does almost the same thing. In my case it's the temperature light flashing, and only when the Nokia is fully charged. Not only are the vans conspiring against us, but they're now in league with the Nokias :)
