When I bought my bus in scrap condition it was missing the speedo cable, now I have restored it and looking to get the cable.

According to "http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/VehicleSpec ... speedo.htm" I am suppose to have a screw on cable since I have 510 written on the face plate. But when I look at the back of the speedo, there are no threads on the shaft on which the cable is suppose to screw on to instead there is a slot on the shaft and I reckon its suppose to have a push on cable and the clip locks in that slot.

Can someone please share pics of screw on type speedo shafts and push on type shafts so that I can order my cable? I can't afford to have a wrong part since its a big hassle ordering from Pakistan.

This is my cars speedo shaft...looks at the pics you show, I reckon it will take a push on cable.. would you agree?

Had mine off the other week, a later ('87) Caravelle which has push on type. Yours does indeed look like push on.
