Sliding window replacement

Hello all,

I'm jealous of caravells and the like for their nice sliding windows with a workable lock..unlike my window; that slowly slides open an inch through the week, and with a latch that can be pretty knocked from the outside to open :0

What options have I got to upgrade the sliding window?

It would be great if I could get these in http://www.ebay.de/itm/VW-Bus-T3-Schieb ... _500wt_922 is that possible?

I met a guy the other day that said; it's easy, just need to make the hole bigger...??

have a look at LR rear staion wagon windows mine in the 90 are 1080x450

Here are a pair of later or after market ones, mine fit the same as the T25 these rivet in;

just fit an aftermarket lock to the windows i also use them on the opening 1/4 light windows to make them more secure

with after market windows (you dont say what conversion you have) there are ots of different sizes.

some conversion use windows that are the same size as caravelle windows and can be swapped.

i know the autohomes range use windows that are larger than caravelles

usually rather than change the windows try having them rebuilt.

quite a few websites ect

also as stated ,and as i have done on my van create a mechanical type latch , which may simply be a length of bar or thread bar that sits in the grove = good for security also
