Autosleeper split charge with vid

Hi all. Have been through previous posts but cant find an answer. My split charge isn't working, the lesiure battery isn't being charged. I have just charged my battery and on the Autosleeper control panel the battery condition light goes green but the volt meter doesn't move from zero. Relay from main batter under drivers seat looks fine and the fuses under the drivers seat are also fine. Any ideas would be welcome. Vid might halp although its a bit basic!

Ewww where to start, scotch lock on the ignition could be a starting point they are known to give reliability issues and are not a recommended way to splice in to a wire (even though they get used all the time). Bits of electrical tape on the 3 fuses at 35 seconds, looks like another bodge, two black wires and a blue going into one? also red wire is disappearing into the void but the rubber grommet looks dislodged could be rubbing against the metal edge, not good! also blue wire disappearing under the driving seat has no rubbing protection. Relay terminals look corroded, relay may be burnt out? Leisure battery positive post doesn't look to clean either, I would check the negative strap as a matter of course.
Time to get the meter out and see where the volts are getting to. try put your hand on the relay to feel a click when the van starts.
TBH I would be tempted to see where all the wires go, then strip it all out and replace.

Yes blue wire looks as though it may be the exiter wire for the relay. Yellow black is is the x-relay, power to this cuts off during starting. So there is some sense in that, so the batteries dont connect while the starter motor is turning. Usually a feed is taken from the alternator wire which supplies the red light on the dash with the battery symbol. If that scotch lock dies though it will take out your lights might be something to consider! So get the meter out and test for power st the other end of that blue wire where it joins the relay . And see what pin number it is (i hope its not the actual hi amp side and using the x relay to charge the battery!) if it is used as the signal to the relay to energise check for 12v+ engine running and 0v engine off. Also check the earth for the relay the other side of this switch as it were. There would normally be a wire to earth, and the batteyr neg wouldmbe a the obvious place to connect it. If that all checks ot ok you have cheked, the " engine is running" switch function of the relay. The other two pins on the relay will be the high power side that takes the feed between the batteries. If you disconect your leisure battery ( both terminals)You should have 12v only to one side'of the relay when the engine is off, then both sides engine running. There would be lots of different ways to test this same thing but thats one of them. Also, you did check those fuse aren't blown?

While you have your leisure disconected test what the voltage of the battery is when its not connected to anything.

I would rip that mess out and put one of these between the positives on the batteries with some proper thick wire. Job done.

Ah That's better!
The crimped terminals have been poorly made and have been taped up to prevent shorts. If it does go pop you will know because you will have a warm a*** and the lights will go off!
A. trigger wire has no grommet where passing through metalwork I dread to think what route it takes under the van, and is it nicley attached out of the way where it wont rub and srot out anyhting? pretty inhospitable place under there! stones an muck flying around from the wheels etc.
B.probably OK where it is, but personally I would wire this to the negative on the battery post
C. Grommet not seated to allow black wire, grommet should be in place.
D. Corroded earth strap and the mating face between the strap and the battery box.
That fuse box has been used to split the incoming red wire (under C) into a black and a red wire, find where they go!
