door fell off

Right the sliding door fell off and scratched the nice new paint. Bugger!
I got it back on Ok and I'm being gentle with it. One of the rollers (the one to the rear) at the rear of the doors midrift seems to disengage from the track rather easily? Any clues what I should be changing before I start a full scale stripdown?

with the door closed put your hand up under the slider cover, run it along the roller track and confirm the track part that that the roller runs along is intact,
yep ?
then i woulds suspect the roller/s have parted comppany ,usual problem

Brickwerks sell new vertical rollers for late vans (as well as early vans)
Very easy to change in 10 mins without even the need to take the door off. Just done a friends van where the bearing was totally decimated
The old bearing is held on with a small nut. Remove this then remove the remnants of the old bearing that will no doubt be stuck solid and will need a bit of plusgas/WD40 and some mole grips to break the rust seal.
Fit new bearing and secure with bolt
Engage the two horizontal bearings in the track and then slide the door open to the cutout in the track and engage the h0rizontal bearing.

No its all intact, the broken roller in the picture spins nice and free with no excessive play and is in one piece. with the door open/half open/just open it is located on the track and can't be budged. As soon as the door is closed the roller can be swung away from the track which allows the door to then fall off next time its opened. The door is obviously lifting slightly onto the lock. the lock pin on the body doesn't look like it has any adjustment? If I slacken the two monster cross heads in the rear lock itself will I be able to raise it slightly to drop the door down a bit when it's locked?
Thanks for the help so far, it's amazing how talking on here gets the old grey matter going. I'll have a look at adjusting things on the weekend but if anyone has any tips feel free.

Also the mount for that roller seems to move up and down on the shaft but is quite stiff and can be pushed up to clear the rail if the door is supported by the lock.

looks to me like the roller is worn
are the sides of the roller equal in height?
The track looks bent too..

Nothing a wooden mallet and a few love taps didn't fix Mike. It had been held on with sealant in a previous life
Boxer your track is bent and I'd change the roller anyway
http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/shop?page=s ... 3+vertical" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
You also say the mount for the roller moves up and down. Is the securing clip still intact on the top to prevent this from happening? I have an early van but I assume one clip secures this piece and one of the upper horizontal rollers too?

the mount for the roller can move up and down on the shaft (bent bar) but can't come off the top. I feel like there should be a spring over the shaft abouve the mount to press it down to the bottom of it's travel (in contact with the rail.
Does anyone do a quietening kit. i was thinking of fitting a nylon u section to the rail and fitting a vertical nylon roller and doing the same at the top of the door.
