I have found a place which are willing to make them - we would need to order 10 as a minimum. The cost would be about £200+Vat.
Anyone interested?

I'm assuming you drive an Aircooled? You could also fit a propex and route part of the heaters output to the front screen vents - many T2 owners do that. If you've got a watercooled, sort your heating out.

Its water cooled and the heating works fine - but a heated screen would be better and make life easyer

I can see where you're coming from with bugs and T2s (owned several) but I find the window demists very quick in a T3. I added a tracker this year which has the added bonus of letting me switch the heating on with just a text message. Heating the windscreen up is a bonus but a toasty van on a freezing cold morning is even better - de-ices all the windows in one go.

Just curious here, but the company you found, are they located in the Midlands? Reason I ask is I too found a company that did a run of 10 heated screens for the Vauxhall Cavalier MK3 when I was a member of the Vauxhallownersnetwork.co.uk, and the company was very helpful.
More details can be supplied if needed.

I organised a similar group purchase for heated front screens for Karmann Ghias a few years back.
Got them specially made by Ricky Evans Motorsport. Have to say that I don't think they're that great of a job. The tiny wire element takes forever to heat up and make any noticeable difference.

Ricky evans is the company I have found - anyone know any others? its a little disappointing to hear that they are not so good, and take a long time to heat up.
Can you quantify this statement and say compare it to your rear screen assuming its heated too?

Yes its much much slower than a rear screen. (about 10 times slower). Maybe I just had a bad one.
I would spend the money on an eberspacher heater and direct it somehow at the windscreen.
