So I was reeling off the long list of jobs to do on my van to a mate.
He sent me this link for a bit of inspiration:

The Sprinter has nothing to do with Arctic Trucks. There are serveral other companies in Iceland (and elsewhere) who do this kind of work. This Sprinter was built by the owner and his buddies.
Arctic Trucks work closely with Toyota, they even offer a serious version of the Hiace... As far as I know, they have never done a Mercedes. Chevy, Hyundai, Ford, Nissan: yes. Merc: no.

Inspiring.
I'm off to Iceland briefly over the winter, but Syncro-less, as taking a fly drive holiday for Northern Lights viewing. Best I can afford is a Skoda Octavia 4WD, so no F roads or off-piste for me this time.

This might sound a stupid question, but why didn't he start off with a Sprinter 4x4?
