It's for an Aircooled 2.0cu. 1981
Just want to make sure I get the right parts from brickwerks while also ordering cv joint.


I noticed some scorching to rotor and am getting some slight running issues at the minute so working through parts.

Update. Sorted, when you add to basket on brickwerks it then shows part number so a little trial an error got me the right parts.

Your vac line looks suspiciously like fuel hose. If it has collapsed or perished that could effect your engine performance.

Thanks Boxy - Here's a thread with a picture of my engine in - It does indeed look that way, not many vacuum hoses are covered with fibre.

It's had the carbs balanced and vacuum lines switched around since the other thread photo - as a result I now have an automatic choke, but a few weeks later developed occasional back firing and spluttering, - I need to pull the plugs as think it could be running slightly rich.
It does sometimes idle poorly - vacuum leaks often the culprit.

I was also going to say...that rotor arm and dizzy cap already look very new...certainly only done a few thousand miles going on the small amount of errosion on the rotor tip....NO NEED TO CHANGE!!!
Contrary to popular belief, rotor arms/distributor caps and HT leads DO NOT need to be changed as service items. Only when they show signs of breaking down.

yeah and get the rotor arm with the rev limiter!

Not needed unless he has no idea he's screaming the life out of his engine. I run a stock rotor in mine. Darned site cheaper too - all bug bits then.
