There are two types, a 3-pin (113945515G) and a 2-pin (113945515H) version. AFAIK the early models use the 3-pin version. Both types are available from VW Heritage and JK.

not seen a 3 pin on a t25
seen a 3pin on a beetle tho.
just broke a 90 caravell, 81 pickup , 86 crewcab , 86 single cab , 87 single cab in the last month, all had 2 pin switches!
but perhaps its a fluke?

According to Bentley page 97.16 the 3-pin switch is for air-cooled model.

Mine has two 3-pin switches as shown in Bentley 97.16. I replaced both last year after one failed. The function of the 3-pin switch is a safety feature which VW abandoned. The switches are wired in such a way so that the brake warning light comes on if ONE of them fails. The brake lights keep working but the warning light stays on permanently to indicate a problem. The 2-pin switches are simply wired in parallel and the brake lights will only stop working after they both have failed.

I have an early air cooled t25, 2.0. it has 2 pins although only one is connected at the mo, the other broken off.
new bit on its way, looks like a messy job though...
