Thick Q no 1576849: Removing and trimming door panels

I need to remove interior panels on my front doors and trim them - they're the JK ones clipped on with those JK trim clips.

So thick queston time:

How do you unfix the trim fixing clips?

How do you get the trim cover off the window winder to get that off - any precaitons before removing?

Anyone got any tips on trimming so you can still wind windows up and down.

Hoping to use heavyweight denim material (got a load off eBay - hard as nails and looks better as it fades and wears :7) so thinking double-sided carpet tape and short staples to secure - IF I can get th panels off and on OK...

Tips and ideas v. v. welcome!

If the clips are the JK they just pop out. Use a stiff bit of plastic or something, if you use a screwdriver dont scratch your paint.
Cant help with winders, years since I removed one.
When I re did my panels I used carpet glue on the back of the panels and pulled the material tight around

The plastic on the winders just levers off from the fat end nearest the door panel, had mine off at the weekend as the round knob on the end fell off.

Thanks guys - kind of what i'd figured but both bits were at that 'just hard enough to do o make you worry you're doing it wrong and about to break it all' point that most DIY things seem to sit at.

Carpet tape is top tip and second one - gonna look into ultra short staples too but scheme that tape will do the job just fine.

Thanks again
