1V engine??????

Hi all! Does anybody know anything about the volkswagen 1V Ecodiesel engine? I think it was used in passats in the early 90's, its a 1.6 turbo with none turbo pump and injectors. I've recently acquired one.
If I were to put a JX pump with it along with turbo spec injectors would it perform like a JX? The 1V is rated at 59hp and the JX is rated at 69hp if i remember rightly.
Will the crank pistons and engine block be the same spec as a JX?
Any help much appreciated.
