Out's the only way to do ours - the pockets for the door corners wouldn't work t'other way round.

I never had any instructions with mine and wondered the same myself at first.
Have ended up using them in summer with silver side out to keep the van cool and in cooler seasons silver side in with the idea of reflecting heat back into van.

I'd be willing to bet that it makes no difference...

I was told shiny side facing out in summer to reflect heat away from the van and shiny side facing in during winter to reflect heat back into the van. Can't tell the difference in practice though!

Does the fact that the suckers that stick on the Windsors are on the shiney side not help?

What are you after? All windows, or just windscreen/doors?
For the latter, we got ours from
http://www.silverscreens.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - or, rather, their cheaper sister company, whose name I can't remember for the life of me. Same things, but without the name tag on the door window. There was a thread here, and I ended up ordering three sets - one for us, one for Lloydy, one for somebody else. As a result, they gave a decent discount and threw in the day-view panel bit for free.
They're bloody brilliant. We've used them every day for 18months - and they're good for much, much more.
