Hi,
I have a 1989 1.9 t25 fitted with an mk2golf steering wheel.
I have been having trouble with my horn

lol and have replaced the retrun ring/slip ring piece as the edge was warn away.
On replacement i have also found this:

Should there be a complete piece on the end of this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Katie

It's normally a 'U' shape the part you have missing (worn out) rubs on the brass contact ring attached to the back of the steering wheel boss.

The wiper stalk and indicator stalk are 2 separate pieces, IIRC this is soldered to the back of one of them ...

Sorry I don't know.
I wonder if it's this ...
10
811953581
negative contact
It's shown as the same part number for all years and €0.62

. It LOOKS to be a part of the outer switch assembly though.

If I can find our spare indicator stalk I'll see if it's soldered to that or just held on by the lower of the 3 retaining screws.
