Temp2 sender

Can someone clarify where the temp2 sender is on a 2.1 MV - is it on the left hand side of the thermostat housing?

And is this the replacement?:

If so, what's this one for? And where would you find it?

Cheers

Don't know for sure but I think the second sensor is for the Syncro metal thermostat housing:

The first one is for the plastic housing.

Certainly is on our DJ. The one at the front is for the temp gauge.

That's what I fitted a few weeks ago, and it seems to be working just fine. Get and use a new rubber seal, too - I think it's this one.. I didn't, and whilst it's dry 99% of the time, it'll leak a bit as soon as you look at it.

It's a five minute job to change, without even going underneath.

I had all the coolant out anyway, so no. If you're quick, there should be minimal loss, especially since it's so high.

While you're at it replace the sensor O-ring http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/shop?page=s ... ory_id=118 and also replace the (probably rusty and weak) retaining spring clip with a new plastic alternative http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/shop?page=s ... ory_id=118
