Gentle lift

Hi,
I do a lot of free camping across europe and would like to get a bit of extra ground clearance by raising the suspension 40mm or a bit more. Any ideas? or is it as simple as getting hold of some syncro springs?
I am also looking to get some alloy wheels that are a bit more heavy duty, any ideas.
Thanks,
Jon

Syncro springs will lift the rear slightly, & I'm not sure how much, but don't think you'll get 40mm? the fronts are mounted differently so would lower a 2wd! best idea would be spring spacers imho, though taller tyres will help depending on engine power/expected mpg?

Or a full syncro front subframe could be fitted...you would need all the parts and a pair of outer cv joints minus the gubbins...be ideal for a future upgrade to 4x4....

This might be of interest,

and

And you might have to fit longer shocks to stop them topping out or fit something simple like this,

Hope it helps
