Has anyone or does anyone know how to install a shift light on a diesel? could it be wired into a diesel rev counter? or is there any aftermarket set up that could be used? Any help appreciated as its needed for an AAZ rally pick.

check the back of your alternator and see if it has a W terminal, if it does, thats for a tacho. If it has it and already has a wire in it, you will find the other end of it on the multiplug on the dash pcb, i think it's a green wire? My van had the dash wiring but no tacho, so you could be lucky and need a bit of cable either end

Have no tachometer at the moment but can change clock sets, I think they allhave the loom for the tachometer so should be able to find the wire, there must some sort of rheostat or something to be able to control when the shift light comes on?
