What can I use to paint the rear vents, front grill and bumper ends with ?.....What sort of paint , primer will I need?.....any help Please

Most places do paints that go directly on plastics without any primer. Read the labels or ask. One called 'Plasticoat' springs to mine?

plastic primer then paint, I used halfords satin black on mine looks good.

I've used plastikote with good results, the grill i cleaned up with some Auto Glym bumper care

Some plastics don't take to well to being painted so its a good idea to try and find out what sort of plastic it is [ABS etc] and then use the necessary primer for it or it could end up peeling off, etc in a short time. Also, some plastics can still have the mould release gel impregnated on the outer film so can never take a coat of paint [like very early dagenham dustbinFORD_KA's for example]

I used a Satin black aerosol from my local motor factors last year to spray my front grills, rear air intake grills, door handles and the grills for the fridge vents. I also did the bumpers too but used undercoat for them too.

The nub of it is that any paint will stick to anything, it just depends how long you want/expect it to last!

I've a friend with an MGB that has black vinyl seats. These were originally red and they were sprayed with black cellulose paint!! Some 20 years later, its still on, and virtually intact. When a bit of red does grin through, he simply blows some more black on, via an aerosol and its all back to one colour again

So, you pays yer money and takes yer choice

All I would say is lightly sand the reflective layer off first.

I used matt black paint from my local motor factors on my front grills.

As Ralph suggested, read the labels as some paint is good for metal, and plastic. The key is the prep work, lots of sanding.
