Hullo there from a newbie!

I recently bought my '87 Transporter and am owner number 11(!) so there are a few mysteries I hope to solve and hopefully correct over the coming months. Any help greatfuly received..

Listed as White Transporter on docs but has been resprayed blue and now has a Holdsworth Villa 3 interior (not sure if this was retro-retrofit but I do have original manual)

There is a window where there usually would not be on a Villa 3 (rear offside)

Deliberate hole (about 2 inch diameter) in roof in rear offside corner which has been covered with a rubber cap recently. There are holes in the shelves below this as if to make way for a pipe or a cable... (I hope no-one ever tried to put an electric hook-up up there..........!)

No water filler in nearside pillar - cant see one at all, but water pump is connected and whirrs when foot button is depressed. (could hole in roof be old water filler point? If so why on the roof and why disconnect it?)

Hook-up cable under seat but cannot find a hook-up point.

Before I start taking things apart to investigate I though it might be worth seeing if any of you have ever seen the things I describe.. (maybe even a previous owner on here!) Pics can be uploaded if needed.

There was a pic on here a while back of someone having fitted a little log burning stove in theirs ?

Yes - I think that's probably it - looking at Google images against what my hole looks like (ooh err!)

Will be investing in a blanking plate as the temporary arrangement I have at the moment is fugly.

Hi,

Some people put the electric hook up on the inside of the inspection flap behind the rear number plate.

On closer inspection it appears I just dont have one. YET... Sure I've seen a ZIG wiring diagram on here somewhere...
