coreplug question

Hi folks....can these be reused if they have come out....(think due to engine getting too warm) or is it replace job?

Have looked at replacements, but they don't have the allen key insert for removal. Is this not necessary?

These are the core plugs I am on about. Bang a screwdriver into them and hoik them out!

oh, ok. Yes....similar thing, only the one that has come out has an alley key mount in the middle of it, so that it can be removed and put back in the event of draining the engine, as per the workshop manual!

Aaaahhhh... we don't have those types on real engines. :mrgreen:
Sounds more like a drain plug to me.
You will have to wait for a petrol head!

I have replaced one on a petrol before, it is like the one in the above pictures and like a smartie top on a 2.1dj. You have to remove a push rod and tube (replace with telescopic one :wink: ) to do the job if I remember correctly.
