Im trying to take the rear suspension trailing arm off my van but I can't loosen the bolt that sits on the outside I have undone the inner one I've snapped a socket and rapped my knuckles already so I'm wondering If I can grind the head off and punch the rest through? I'm going to be putting new bolts etc in

You will be lucky. :rofl
More often than not the bolts are seized in and you will need to get a thin cutting disc on the inside of the brackets and cut the bolts off then. You will have to replace the bushes then though.

Sometimes they can be punched through although highly unlikely as they generally seize in the metal sleeve inside the bush. Mine shifted with a clout though

A local bolt supplier had a replacement bolt so that wasn't an issue.

I'm replacing the bushes and bolts anyway so it doesn't matter if they get damaged I will give it a go and see Wat happens :run
