ok so I am now stuck with a pair of 14" syncro handbrake cables as the seller thought they were for a 16" and advertised them as so. Anyway we are now working that one out and I am keeping the cables, so whats the score - will one fit a 16" or neither? if its the latter then they will be on offer. Genuine VW, originally bought from Lars.

From what i got told a 14" cable will fit a 16"

2wd ones are 1473mm - they fit fine but are a bit too long so you end up with slack under the van which can get snagged

14" are 1436mm left and 1390mm right

16" are 1445mm left and 1430mm right

VW made them different for a reason - I guess you could use a 14" left as a16" right ok but 14" right may be too short on a 16"

We have another batch being made at the moment, all variants, 14", 16" and 2WD.
All bought and paid for, just awaiting delivery.

I just remember being told at vanfest after I'd bought the 16" ones, that the 14" ones fit but you run them slightly differently
