Need to camp as close to bala lake for under a tenner with a dog. Will consider wild camp as long as its safe.
Also anywhere near hells mouth peninsula?
Any suggestions welcome

Colette, there's a farm type camp site literally down the road from the car park to hells mouth beach, I don't know what its called but perhaps if you look on Google earth 'satellite' it will show it...planning a road trip? x

oh yes two weeks of freedom.
the campsie prices are expensive at the moment its not a cheap doo like it used to be, but i begrudge paying more than ten pounds a night when its just and the woof. id expect breakfast in bed for that !
thank you keep them coming

I don't know what route you're planning, but Harry & I stayed here last year - can't really tell you much apart from the loos were clean (we only stayed one night) but it was right on the beach...and under a tenner a night!

stayed here last weekend. stayed on river site which requires a little gentle off roading. not a problem if weather is reasonable but could be problamatic getting out again if very wet. site was large , pretty quiet. riverside great. waterpoint. two portaloos which frankly i wasnt prepared to s**t in. went to bala? believe facilities on campsite at farm are good but by the time you have unhooked from the awning? well you may as well go somewhere? quiet at night, fairly dog friendly if you have friendly dogs. loved the riverside.
downside - bad portaloos - looked like hadn't been cleaned in months and rubbish "skip/trailer" the same?
upside - nice riverside - wildish camp, camp fires allowed, cheap and friendly, lots of space.
would i go again? yes but i will take my porta-potti
