Kind of a tut tut tut noise coming from the front offside wheel/suspension area (well thats where it sounds like it's coming from) takes about 4-5 mins to start, the noise seems to be speed related in the fact it gets quicker/slower with road speed. The only thing i did to the van today was adjust up the rear drums, i think its only started since then? but i can't see how that are related?
you can hear the noise on this video, you can hear it quite clearly at one spot, Any ideas?

They are an emotional roller coaster!

have you ruled out something stuck in your tyre or something wrapped around your driveshafts
what speed are you doing in the film
and is the neighbours cat missing??

Yep, checked for stones in tyres, nothing there.
Checked driveshaft, nothing on it and it doesn't seem to have any play
Have removed wheel had the front in the air and spun hub around, no sign of any noise. the prop gives a clunk if you move the wheel quickly, but i think this is just the take up.
Speed i'm going in the video is around 30-40mph, but it does it at every speed once it starts.
The one thing i forgot to say is, if i just barely touch the brake pedal (and i mean barely) the noise stops instantly then starts again when i take my foot off.

Not a balance wieght hitting the brake calliper is it?

Driveshaft bolts tight? Guess they are...

funnily enough i did check that, seems to clear fine.
Bolts are tight as well. Strange that it seems to have happened after adjusting the rear brakes? I think i am going to re adjust the rear brakes tomorrow, as the handbrake is now very tight, very hard to get 3 clicks on it. Maybe the noise is coming from the rear and just resonating up to the front??
So tell me if i'm doing this wrong, rear brakes, adjust them throught the hole at rear until you cant move the drum, then back off 3 clicks, or should i back them off more? Think i might have too as the handbrake is pretty tight at the moment. Wonder if somehow this is causing the noise?

Might be over adjusted and heating up , therefore expanding and binding more after a time. I would do as you say and start again to rule this out before looking elsewhere. Onwards !

why oh why did i touch them Hope it is that, 1000 mile drive next week..

No real rules for adjusting the drums...just so long as they aren't dragging or getting hot, had em off? Worth cleaning em out I reckon and sanding up the sums a bit too. Also take your pads and free em off, did mine on Sunday and copper slipped em etc....we're dragging a tad after 2 years, feel better now and save fuel too!

Give the handbrake a tug...that will rule out the back end no question.

cheers, the fronts are all new pads, disks ect. the rears have been apart a few times and been cleaned. I'll have a quick look in the rears tomorrow incase ive broke something.

Guess you mean when its making the noise? Good idea, i'll do that

Yep,when it's doing it. If it turns out to be frontal, and discs, pads, wheels, tyres, and bolts are ruled out....suspect a hub bearing I reckon as thats the only thing the brakes could affect....hub nuts tight is it? In fact is the calliper tight!
