Overnight camping near to the Eurotunnel?

Hi,
We are off to France next weekend and have a resonably early departure from folkestone. I was thinking it might be easier to leave the night before and stop over near to the tunnel and was wondering if anyone has done this and could reccommend a spot or site?
Many thanks

Threres one recommended on cliffs near there- camping and caravanning club me thinks. Check on the campsite.co.uk probably come up trumps.

Yep, there is a C&CC one at Folkestone which is about 10 mins from Eurotunnel and also a Caravan Club at Hawkinge (Black Horse farm) which is also about 10 mins.
I know the Hawkinge one gets heavily booked so you can't just turn up.
There is also a privately run one at Folkestone next door to the C&CC one called Swiss Cottage I think. Not tried it but driven down there, it should be OK for an overnighter.
HTH,
MM
