Coolant tank - Full?

Hi,
Just of interest, when it says that the coolant in the tank should be full, does it actually mean to the top, as in nearly overflowing as in the pic attahced? Or should it be just below the neck?

Also what should the temperature needle be at during normal driving conditions or does it differ from one van to the next?

Hi
I'm no expert but are van runs with the coolant tank full to the brim like yours and the needle on the guage is just on the red LED. On a run when its up to temp when going down hill 70ish the temp goes down iv'e been told this is what it's ment to do. Hope this helps

yep..
the coolant expands into the top up tank, that picture shows that you have no air in the tank and it will expand into the top up tank easily.

usual position for the gauge is on or just before the LED.
above or below in normal conditions indicates abnormal coolant temperatures :D
