Hi Guys
I am having a lot of trouble locating the correct spire nuts or clips for securing the radiator to the bus I have tried many places , motor factors online but cant find the correct ones as I didnt remove the rad I am not sure of the bolt size either they were cut off it seems can somebody tell me where I can find these also the size to ask for...
I saw on the wiki that harry had written up a how to on this and mentions the spires , also I was wondering which is the best radiator for me to buy , is it the e type from gfs
I had my bus converted from a jx to aaz but it has always run hot when climbing hills , and my rad was full of sediment so had it removed and flushed out properly but dont know whether to risk putting it back in or replacing with new.
can someone please help as my wife wants it off the drive before my daughters wedding. :?:

not sure what a spire nut is needed for
the rad is held in place by two metal brackets below which are bolted to the front member with m8 ht machine screws (bolts) and at the top it locates with two nipples into rubber washer covered holes iirc
I'd get a new one from the issues you've had
Brickwerks will sell the best quality correct rad for your vehicle, if it was originally a TD then it has the deeper rad same as the 2.1 petrol and will have a plastic cowling / motor mount and tunnel between seats is higher than on a petrol van
hope the wedding isn't Saturday

Hi Aidan
Thanks it is the spire nuts/ clips /speednuts that the m8 bolts connect the brackets to the body that I need. the ones on the bottom.
I will try Brickworks for rad and spires plus bolts .
It does seem the most sensible way to go , I agree.
