You know, the 90 degree unequal length jobbies that connect the hoses to the actuator. Still available or has someone got a usable pair that can make their way to Devon?

got some here preloved bent ones also lovely new silicon rubber non bent long lengths

I think that I really need the bent ones, the rigid lines are a bit on the short side and inclined to flatten the (admittedly rather thin-walled) tube that's currently connecting them as it curves round to meet the actuator spigots.
Trying to stop the lines rubbing on the transmission ball lever too, not enough slack to get the lines running where they really should.

Turns out that one of the thin hoses on the actuator had perished and split anyway, so that explains the slow rear locker...

i have a handy tip today...this is relevant, bear with me... just been stripping my two scrap golfs ( a 1995 aaz for the doka and a 1998 ahu tdi for the camper) and been stripping off anything useful.
i was investigating the central locking and behind a bulkhead felt the familiar shape of a vacuum actuator. upon removal, i see that it has only one line in ( so the system must suck and blow down the same tube) but anyway, all the vacuum lines appear the be the same guage of stiff plastic pipe as we use, plus there are various t pieces, elbows etc and some really nice quick release junctions etc.
i will be taking the entire system out of both cars just for all the bits.

Ill add to this .... have a look at any Mercedes W124 / W126 / W201 central locking systems and not only will you find vac pipes, 'T' pieces and elbows, you will also find actuators and non return valves. Plus any industrial pneumatics supplier will also have all of this stuff ex stock
