just been to asda and noticed they had an offer on this oil.castrol gtx15-40 oil part synthetic.my van is due an oil change and was wondering if this is any good.it is £12 for 4 litres,cheers dave

what engine ?????? if its a wbx then no as needs to be mineral oil not semi syn!

And 4 litres isn't enough....4.5 litres required.

And why would you change the oil but not change the oil filter?

just wanted to freshen the oil up as i had already changed the filter and oil about a 200 miles ago but i used a cheaper brand from wilkinsons and thought for £12 and piece of mind seemed a good price.

should have been more clearer,the oil and filter change i done in my van not so long ago i had used some oil that i thought might have been ok but seeing this i thought this would be a better option

There was a post on Wilco oil and I think in general everyone agreed it was good.
