Just want to see if anyone has any advice with makes of awnings?
I'm after a small driveaway awning for storage, not sleeping. Are there any to keep away from?
Cheers,Dean.

If you only want the awning for storage do you really need a drive away, have you considered a day shelter? How often will you use it, the Kyam Motordome is a good awning but is very expensive so needs to be used a lot. The only things you don't get with a day shelter is the connecting tunnel and the facility to put in a sleeping tent.
I have been looking at the Ultracamp Day tent £84.99, the Lichfield day tent £127.50 and the Sunncamp Day Room at £139.99. They are all around 3mx3m and have roll up doors so can be used as a gazebo. Worth looking into.

I have a Khyam motor dome as well. It's brilliant cos I can put it up on my own .... But if don't want to pay that much there are lots of cheaper drive awnings or a day tent.

if you want something for storage, with the option of 'offering' it up to the side of the van then I can thoroughly recommend a Quechua Base camp

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007EYBNG0/r ... B007EYBNG0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

loads of room, quick to put up and the door canopy is just about the right hight to line up with your gutter rail, ok, so it won't be a water tight fit but if its just storage that won't matter
