Woodhall spa is a very nice town. Outdoor pool, the old Kinema and woodland walks.

Tattersall leisure centre isn't far if you like outdoor water sports etc. Pretty big Sunday market/ car boot sale next door.

River Witham for a spot of fishing.

This place http://www.lincsaviation.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is 12 miles away from Woodhall Spa and VERY worth a visit (er, if you like that sort of thing!).

If you're there until Tuesday of next week they'll be doing Lancaster taxy runs as well but even on 'non-event' days it is good half / whole day out. It's also very good value - just be aware it is not open on Sundays.

We go to Woodhall Spa quite a bit for a couple of days camping usually on the spur of the moment when the weathers looking good (Lincolnshire is one this country's best kept secrets in my opinion). Have stayed at the C&C Club site a couple of times and others nearby. Anywhere in or around Woodhall Spa is a good base to tour around from, it has a nice almost 50's feel about it. Have a wander along the main street and you'll notice very few chain/major stores, there's a small Budgens , lots of individual traders and not forgetting the DELI & CAKE SHOP yummy  The site you linked to looks really good I think we passed that last time we were there. Apart from what's already been suggested you've got RAF Coningsby village is good for free plane spotting, Horncastle is great little market town for meandering around and Tattershall Castle (NT) if you like history. Have a good time. :ok

Petwood caravan & campsite very nice, right nextdoor to jubilee site (which is cheaper but wash facilities not as nice). Short walk to pool & town centre + kinema in the woods (nice Italian restaurant nearby). Also good cycle route to horncastle on old railway route. Local get away for us!

A definite thumbs up for Kirkby air museum. :ok

Horncastle is a nice town. I spent a lot of time there working the Saturday market and catching Chubb in the river Bain when I was younger.
