Very well presented red panel van on eBay. Nothing to do with me just curious on what it will make.
£4k currently with 4 days still to go.

NOOO windows, except perhaps in the slider.
Its a funny old game, there have been a few nice caravelles go for around the 5k mark, why spend 4k plus on a bulk head van, must be in really nice condition.
Guys polished it up a storm anyway. looks good, would love to see it in the flesh to see if it stacks up. Someone on here must have gone to see it.
I also like his line that its the only one on ebay uk right now.

Does not say whether there are any diff-locks or any service history to support the mileage? A 40 mile drive is not that reassuring either! But if it all checks out it looks a good buy.

Just checked with the London emission zone and its not compliant....so be careful if you buy this and you live anywhere near London

This really looks the biz but I dont believe the story. Its had a bit of paint at some stage and there is green moss on the Syncro badge. I would like to see a bit more of it.
I agree with £6k and NO WINDOWS ......

Have been watching with some interest,it's almost identical to mine but a lesser spec. and there's no way I would fit windows and a "home brew" camper conversion
Seems that genuine panels are realising their value compared to "diy campers"
I agree with Syncropaddy's analysis, looks like i'ts had some cosmetic work ?
I invested £2.3k on mine and have spent c.£1k bringing it up to spec. mainly on ss exh.from Brickwerks
Seems for once I have made the right decision

i just had a call from a guy from Northern Ireland who has just looked at it to buy, rotten o/s where trailing arm/jacking point is("you can stick your fingers in there so you can") got a ply floor.... and you can see this if you are on your back looking up from the ground." been recently painted in places but you still can see seam rash" . i put the guy onto lloydie and ninja turtle so they may be getting a call today as he is going from wales to Cambridge!

Hi, guy from NI here. It's rotten on both sides in front of the trailing arm and the sill area at the side door. A few other places too. He has sprayed a heavy coat of waxoyl on the badly rusted areas underneath. Wherever you see waxoyl there is either a hole or it's feeling like its about to go. He tells me the engine has been rebuilt also. A bit too much rot for my liking. Too many projects on at present to be buying another. Is this typical of all the RHD syncros or are there any about that don't need major surgery?

You can find genuine vans out there ( I did ) !!! But I would steer clear of an advert stating "very rare and sought after " sales blurb
And btw how did it get a new mot with that "alleged "amount of knob rot ??

Don't get me wrong, it's not completely rotten or anything. Just badly rusted in a few places. I've been told if its rotten in front of the trailing arm there will probably be more rot further in. My thing is classic tractors, I don't know much about these T3s yet. I wouldn't mind a bit of rust here and there but when you can see through panels and there are holes where there shouldn't be it's time for me to look elsewhere. Any good syncros for sale in Ireland syncropaddy? A doka should suit me better if anyone knows of any going at reasonable money.
