Newbury, Berks safe sleep spot?

Heading down from Scarborough 6pm ish en route to Camp Bestival, Dorset this week with our 2 kids. Hoping to get as far as Newbury area, depending on how tired we get, does anyone know of any safe sleep spots in the area please? Not sure what the deal is with motorway service station car parks - it's our first time camping in the van so keeping everything crossed. Thanks.
