Fridge questions

I want to put a fridge in a removeable kitchen pod-type thing, but this throws up a couple of questions. I don't really want to have gas to run the thing, but instead use 12v or 240v when hooked up. I have leisure battery(s) to run it when parked up. Does it need to be vented at all times? If I have a removable pod, does it have to vent to the outside?
Does this all sound do-able? (No gas, no vent, etc)

Right. The 12v side is designed to keep the fridge ticking over when you are travelling along. It does not cool the fridge down and does not work when you are parked up. When you are stationery you have to use gas or electric hook up. Other guys will explain further I'm sure.

You can't run an absorption fridge off gas unvented and 12v without the engine running. A compressor fridge is what you need for your requirements. Search 'compressor fridge' as there's a few threads discussing this type of fridge
