I'm going to be around the Normandy area but it's nice to know that Sarran is not a million miles away. Also Tetley Sid is down towards where you are heading. Good luck, I've been reading your thread and associated ones relating to driving in France and am now officially nervous of everything from breakdown/recovery to being waylaid by footpads. Regards Rob

C,mon Rob where ya bulldog spirit mate? These are tough old vans we have and if well serviced are more than capable. I just did a tour of the beaches of Normandy and all the way round Brittany coast then back to Cognac, 962 miles in all and only conked out 7 miles from home ...Ha ha!!!
Oye Wullie, did he have his moped tied on the back and wheres the old gits stick?

the moped were still there yesterday afternoon before he set off for germania.
dunno if he ever got there, he set his GPS for basle and hockenheim after being at my yard and i was following him expecting him to turn west after a mile to eventually head northish.
he carried on south all the way back to nearly where i live and then turned right in approximately the correct direction, but about an 8 or ten mile detour in the first 20 minutes doesn't look good for electronic navigations............
