Wowo (Waspbourne Manor Farm), nr Ukfield is good. A bit pricey but fab - right next to the Bluebell Steam railway.... Real fires and dogs permitted.

With the weather like it is I doubt they're fully booked! I'm sure if you ask nicely.... They may bend da rules !! Plus there's paella on Friday night and free soup and music Saturday.

Depends how close to Brighton you want to be.....

'wild camp' it at Hove seafront (behind the King Alfred Centre is where all the motorhomes end up!)

or this is basic, but nice, and about a 20 min drive into the city:

http://www.stoneywish.co.uk/camping" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

or you could just go to Shoreham seafront and park for free, with a short walk across the River Adur bridge into the town.....?

enjoy....

cheers only there for one night this time, so like the idea of the wild/free ones. are both ok for an overnight stay, without getting moved on?

Hove - Hove Street, off the A259 Kingsway: I've never stayed there but always see campervans and motorhomes there (or further west along the A259). No restriction overnight as far as I could see, but pay machine during day.
Bit of a camber..

Shoreham - Kings Walk (the seafront road) has several breaks in the yellow lines to allow parking, and there are no signs to say you cant park overnight there, I have several times with no problems.
Little/no camber...

cheers

Shoreham might be a problem, they've very recently had a lot of trouble with Travellers, so might get a bit umpty.

Cheers, Jill
