Westy fridge switch

My fridge switch has failed , two buttons will not stay in and one will not come out , its been like this for a while and I rewired the gas to the one that was working to get us through a weeks camping , but now that is playing up and I've taken it apart and the internals are foobarred , I've put a wanted ad up but not holding my breath.
So has anyone had this problem and what solutions did you come up with ? I'm going to have to fit 3 rocker switches as a temporary fix. Which will work but won't look good , its this type of switch set up
Thanks
Mark

Mark...mine was like that when I first got it....everything was just bone dry and needed a good lube and hey presto! but you say yours has broken...have you tried electrolux/Dometec? you never know.

I must admit that mine has been a labour of love..it's been out more times than a little but there just isn't anything available that will fit in the gap and retain the westy door front.

You can buy a compressor that you can fit to any fridge/box to turn it into a compressor fridge. I have seen them fitted in the battery box but then you still have a small fridge I guess so maybe not worth the effort/expense. I kept the old door and old fridge just in case but a working big fridge is more important to us than a factory door, its one of those things that when you have done it you will never go back.

I hear you Jed , but because of one thing and another I haven't got a spare £450 for the waco YET

, that and we are going away very soon

..
It will have to have the rocker switches fitted
The only problem I can see with them is running 12v and gas or 240 and gas by mistake ( leaving one switch on ) , I don't plan using the 240v so it will mainly be gas and 12v , I'll have to write a note on the steering wheel reminding me

I had the same problem and the switches just aren't available. I made up a little panel and fitted two toggle switches from Maplins, one two way and one three way. Not sure I kept my circuit diagram but I can take a look and post a photo of the front panel if you want.

Had the same problem.............replaced the 3 push buttons with a 3 position rocker switch............up for 12v operation, down for 240v and the central position allows for gas use. Works perfectly ok.............cheaper than £450

cheers guys , any piccies or wiring diagrams would be ace , I've put 3 black rocker switches in there as a temporary fix and ordered 3 grey ones for a more clinical look

, the only problem is filling the space , looks like a wee panel is in need of and some small 12v,240v,gas stickers for above the switches

I cut the fronts off the old buttons and glued them on..
