fitted a smev sink and hob combi and just wondered about wiring the tap , its a microswitched tap with a brown wire and a brown with a blue trace can i wire this straight to the pump then to live and earth ? just had a play with it and it seems that the pump is constantly on whether the taps on or off have i missed something ? thanks jeff

Reads like the swtch interupts the power supply to the pump.

+ ve___________(brown)______*tap*______(blue/ brown)________*pump*___________-ve earth

thanks kev but im dense with electrics the pump has a brown wire and a blue wire and im not sure what connects to what

+ ve feed fromn the leisure_________{blue brown}________*tap*_______(brown)_______*pump*_____{blue}______-ve earth/chassis

think ive got that kev ! blue and brown from tap and brown from pump 12v+ and brown from tap and blue from pump to earth

ok here goes ....+ battery to + tap , -tap to +pump , -pump to - battery hows that then lol ?

must confess kev i found it on a t4 forum but it was specially worded for idiots like me lol sending my booking form for Busfest in the morning , might let you have a go with my tap when im there lol

damn i think i broke my tap ! it worked the other night with my dodgy wiring , wired it today the correct way and its as dead as a dead dodo ! gonna have to have it running of a switch instead
