IF the old one hasn't been kinked or snagged you can just feed the new inner down the old sheath. Not done this myself but .....

Also run 3-in-1 down the cable to prevent deathwatch beetle style clicking.

Make sure it's not snagged/rubbing where it goes through the bulkhead

I really wouldn't bother trying to reuse the old outer - it's not going to help longevity of the new cable, and we found fitting a new one dead easy - RHD might be a chunk trickier.

Front upper and lower grilles off, LH headlight out (square lights, you might be OK on single round), jack it up and LHF wheel off, instrument panel lid off. That's it. Remove the grommet from the bulkhead, and the cable just pulls out. Feeding it back in's easy - just make sure it's routed through the wiring to keep the curves as loose as possible.

A trick that might help for RHD - I've found in the past, on other vehicles, that it's easiest to attach a long piece of wire as a "mouse" to the old cable - truckloads of gaffer tape - before you pull it out. Then do the same with the new one, and just pull the wire back through to keep the routing the same without having to dismantle a shedload of dashboard.
