hi

i just went to use the my van for first time for three weeks and it will not turn over. grrrrrrr!

have not been able to use it much lately, so on advice of mechanic, i turn it over at least once a fortnight and let it run until the engine gets warm usually about 15 minutes on the drive

there is energy in the battery as the dash and headlights come on fine but absolutly no turn over noise.

changed the spark plugs and dizzy cap about 5 months ago.

any ideas about whats causing the problem would be really appreciated

does starter turn engine at all? or make a sound.

no sound at all

Get a voltage tester on the battery.There might be enough power for the lights.But not the starter.

corroded connections..

. . . to starter motor (including the earth connections).
