Hello,

Photos please.

Is the engine really clean?

Leaks are usually from pushrod tubes onto underside of head, then drips onto heat exchanger.

Leak at front is usually cranckase oil seal.

Some videos to help:

Run the engine then put a sheet of cardboard underneath, leave overnight, helps to show where the leak is.

Cordialement,

:ok

Hi Leebo,
Just fixed the same leak today. I over filled the oil last two weeks ago and had a constant drip from the pipe. Looking at the pipe it had been leaking for quite a while in view at the build up of gunge. Searched for petrol pump+oil leaks and reckoned the pump was leaking the oil.

I could'nt get the fuel pump off in situ - there's one bolt that's impossible to get at, I may be wrong but I could'nt. In the end I dropped the engine to take the pump off and fit an A series blanking plate - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MINI-A-SERIES ... 2ebf762c01" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Plate fits perfectly (used plenty of hermettite).

Installed an electric fuel pump as in the wiki https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Fu ... aircooleds" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Quick run round the block - no drips.

Mick.
