perhaps a simple question, but is it possible to add an extra cigarrette lighter to the rear of van that runs off the leisure battery to run dvd player or telly etc

of course, Just Kampers sell a 12v outlet. Make sure you stick a fuse near the battery and use the proper auto wire. It's very easy, even I managed it!!

If you have a zig unit you could pick the 12v up from one of the outputs on the back

not sure if you can omit the iluminated circuit if you can do so as that'll run down your battery if it's constantly on.

If you can't you might be worth installing a switch on the live side.

I installed a ciggy lighter on the LB casing lid.

simply ran a live cable off the +'ve terminal of the LB through a fuse onto the ciggy lighter. Ran the Earth cable straight off the LB into the lighter.

You don't want an illuminated one running in the back, at night it'll drive you nuts, I have to pop off the front of the radio or it illuminates the whole van.

Extra aux plugs

I fitted extra plug sockets next to both the batts behind the seats - there is a largish hole in the side of the seat base near to the seatbelt anchor bolt that needs just a little opening out to get a cig lighter plug to fit - a bit vulnerable to kicking but otherwise very convenient and easy to fit, fused of course.

Go to your nice friendly Maplins and they will make one for you with the wire and everything and all you have to go is connect it to your battery :)

Easy - (well Matt did get me to do it :P )
