in the middle of a restoration of my t25, gutted what was left of the bodged interior and rebuilding...

my question is...

what purpose does the batten serve with regards to the rock and roll bed?

i'm just ordering a new 3/4 bed from Volkswares and it says it doesnt come with a batten and wondering if this is something i can knock up myself or buy and what purpose it serves..

Ask your supplier what parts exactly you need to fit their item in a stock van.

A batten (my interpretation as a strip of wood) is usually used either to add rigidity to seat base (ie screwed underneath) or along front edge to stop cushion sliding forward?
