coolant leak

Hi there...have an on-going issue with van...t25 1989 2.1 petrol. I'm losing/leaking coolant from the top of the main header tank..it seems that it is emptying the top up tank behind the number plate and it's leaking (i think) from the coolant sensor....which has been replaced but no joy. Main header tank isn't low on coolant and the van does not over heat...it just keeps emptying top up tank. Is this due to faulty Dalek cap or a crack in the header tank or something more dark and evil........
Many thanks...warge

my old van used to have the problem with the sensor leaking, or so i thought. Traced it in the end to a small crack in the tank, right up by the darlek cap.

Same here.

If you do find you need a new tank, best not buy from JK or GSF as quality is variable. Buy from Brickwerks :)

I learnt my lesson well with the first part i ever bought from GSF, the low level sensor for the tank. Screwed it in , nipped it up and CRACK. so check the sensor for cracks aswell wine went rond the base of the threaded part.
