Hi
I am thinking about getting one of these fitted to my camper (90). They just calmp to the top/side. I thought I would ask if anyone has had any experiences or views about them...

That's just the fixing kit though, isn't it?
The awning itself seems to be a few hundred on top of that.....

There are three things that you must have in my experience.
A propper Fiamma awning,
An Eberspacher
A compressor fridge.
You can camp out in any weather then and be pretty comfortable

Hi
yes, the website only show the fittings. The awning is a few hundred pounds more...!! I was more concerned about the fitting and whether they hold well, as they are only clamps - nothing bolted on...As we have an elevating roof, there is nothing to bolt it onto - hence clamps.
We have a drive away awning/tent, and a full vehicle clamp on sun awning, which needs assembling - thought it would be less work to have one of these.
Cheers

They really are a great bit of kit.....mine (pictured) has been on for 3 years now.....
Just make sure the nut and thread end are INSIDE the box otherwise it will catch you roof (this is oposite to how fiamma show on their pics)

Yes great kit, make sure you do the bolts up tight and check them after a few miles, tendency is to worry about damaging the gutter and not do them up tight enough.

mine is also pop rivited to the body at the bottom of bracket large pop rivit not the diy type makes it more secure as the gutter is weak.

Matt,
Can you post some more photos of your brackets.
I bought one of these bag type Fiammas and have no brackets.
I am still unsure how I am going to attach it to my bus (tin top).
I am not so keen on the figure of 8 type clip, I don't think they secure enough.
I was thinking of riveting P shaped rail to the underside of the rain gutter but I'm open to suggestions.

you can have a look at the next VW meet...
but i just bought some of that C channel ( you can see it in pic ) and thats bolted to some box section with some home made brackets to bolt to gutter.
as it needs to be lifted high enough so you can open the doors ... my first version was not high enough !
