5 speed Gearbox noise

Hi my gearbox has developed a noise . I believe it is a bearing noise. When the vehicle is idling with your foot off the clutch you can hear it and when you put your foot on the clutch it goes away. It does the same when driving and coasting with foot on the clutch there is no noise. I would reckon this to most likely to be the first motion shaft bearing. Does anyone know what sort of fix this is and if you need any specialist tools to fix it. Thanks :?:

Could be the release bearing ? People will need to know the age and type of the van, it would help if you put it in your signature so's we can be more informed to help you ?

Could not hear noize when i bought as its exhaust was blowing blowing from the manifold done that and put a new head on it as that was cracked so now running nice

I have the same on my gearbox - it is definitely the release bearing - the noise started after replacing it!! Very noticeable when just sitting there idling out of gear, foot on clutch and it stops.
