Mine get in the way. They do not hang in a way that blocks out the light from the windscreen either. Been toying with the idea of ditching them and getting some thermo mats instead.

God knows how I passed the MOT - they stop the belts rewinding too.

Thermo mats are great but the time to install and remove all of them makes them a pain. My curtains are still get lots of use, even though they are worn out.

why not just make some tie backs to keep the curtains out of the way behind the seat belt? easily attached if you drill a hole at the desired point then screw directly through the fabric, using a washer so the screwhead doesn't tear the tie back. looks neater too :ok

or, if you only use the front for storage at night, put a single curtain across the back of the cab where it joins the living area - easily kept out of the way with a tie back (or a bit of string if you're not feeling very creative)

I used to use home made thermo mats for the front but found them a faff if I needed to get changed at the beach etc so have now changed to curtains
