Hi all, my 1Z is coming on a treat but where is the best place to locate the intercooler? i thought about putting it in front of the driveshaft on the n/s, also behind the n/s rear wheel, also the area behind the rear light on the n/s so it gets a good air feed from the vent, whats your thoughts and any one got any pictures please?

Above gearbox with an air scoop is the way forward. Elvis has vagcom figures to confirm this

Is that using say a golf intercooler in front of the starter motor? Do you use the golf pipes or custom pipes?

Using later passat one due to size/shape/hose position.

Mostly 1Z pipes witha few sillycon hoses.

85' ish with intercooler in battery tray/bottom of pillar, 55' max in scoop above gearbox. Proved by VCDS figures

Ideal, i know im being cheeky but would i be able to come down at some point and have a look at your set up to get a good idea as to what i need to be doing?
