As title really. Looking into buying a high lift tractor/farm jack like Jed's, and I realise I need an adapter to accommodate the correct jacking points on my Syncro.

This is the jack I wish to buy..

Now, if the above adapter is the correct one, how does it attach to the high lift lift? Do the holes on both line up for heavy duty bolts to be fitted?

They slide on to the hi lift and the pin goes through the hole to keep it in place

I have the black version land rover adapter, it works with a few provisos. you have to be really careful on the rear as the van tends to twist in the air. when you come to let it down the central pillar can catch the sliding door cover plate. I tried several chocking options on the far side From memory I think I went for chocks in front of front wheel and behind rear, I have to work on a slight incline so maybe this was more a problem than if you are on the flat. If you want to get it really high on both sides jack in two stages. Half way then drop it onto axle stand, then the other side and axle stand repeat to go higher. I made up a jack pad from two pieces of thick plywood, the top one with the hole cut out for the foot. I made it so I could use it on grass but to be honest I would not recommend using a farm jack without one on any surface. I think Aidan uses a modified jacking post off a VW emergency jack which is slightly longer that means the jack can sit a smidge further away from the van so it was less likely to contact with the side of the van when lowering.

Cheers for that Bob, very helpful info there mate. I wonder if there is an adapter with a spindled shaft that goes into the jackup point? Would make things easier by the sounds of it with the rears.
