Sterling chargers

Hi folks,
I've been thinking of getting one of the Sterling chargers for charging the leisure battery whilst driving. I'm not entirely sure to go with a 'battery to battery' or 'alternator to battery' type. The latter is looking preferable as it appears to manage the starter battery too, are there any other views or experiences on these?
Also, what's a reasonable amp model to opt for if the van is using a 65amp alternator?
Thanks for any advice on these, they're pretty expensive and I'd hate to get the wrong one.

Steve

I've a 130 amp alt to bat with. 90 amp alternator it charges the starter battery and the two 75amp Bosch batteries I use as leisure ones,
I've a 20amp sterling battery charger I use on hook up to charge the batts and run as a 12 v source.

I use a 12v waco fridge n it lasts a couple of days wild camping without moving then an hour our two of driving charges the batteries.

You will find everyone has their preference and opinion regarding batts n chargers but mine work for me.

If you have any questions about Setrling stuff don't waste time just give them a call, they are only too happy to help a bit like the guys at propex.

Cheers
Si

Thanks for the response, I didn't realise you could fit one that is a higher amp than the alternator can produce. I'll contact them and see what they suggest.
Cheers
