hi all, i have a 2.1 dj t25 5 speed petrol, h-reg
2 weeks ago i had the slave master unit replaced and the front discs and pads. last week the clutch bite point started to go lower and 1st gear became very hard to select!
now i can only select 1st or 2nd with the engine off...then start the engine and pull off..still with stiff 3rd 4th 5th gears.
i spoke to the mechanic about the bleeding of the new master cylinder , he wasnt aware of the slave unit!

could it be just that the slave unit needs bleeding , clutch plates shot, gearbox or.....!

Slave Master Unit is something found in a brothel

so it's either a master cylinder or a slave cylinder, clutch or brake, it would help to know which was replaced, but if they don't know about bleeding it's fair to say that'll likely be the problem

I wouldn't possibly know if that were true. Clearly you have had a more colourful life than I was lead to believe, despite our 'brief encounter' under a Syncro in Bedworth one wet afternoon.

well it was the slave on the gearbox area...had to replace it due to broken and rusted nipple!
Changed the dot4 fluid to....hey presto...slick....smooth gear change!

It doesn't more colourful than that!
I believe there are several of those Master/Slave units here - http://www.eros-haw-leipzig.de/ which is about 5 mins walk from my office.
